We have stayed in York many times over the last 30 years. Always in hotels, some good, others less so. Never again. Our stay at 8CW has been a delight.
Most impressed by the spotless cleanliness and your attention to detail in providing for every conceivable requirement. It was so convenient to have
dedicated parking so nearby and to be close enough to be able to walk into the town centre. Thank you for everything. We wish we could have stayed longer
and hope to return as soon as possible. (May 2011)

Another lovely stay and so glad we came. We dined in one of the restaurants you suggested, the Lime House, and had an excellent meal,

Christine and John – we didn’t think 8CW could be improved upon but all the extras since we last stayed are “spot on” (great kitchen).
We were so fortunate to get this week and time has just flown past – we’re all “walked out” but we’ve thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Incidentally, the garden is beautiful and the weather has been very kind to us – WE’LL DEFINITELY BE BACK (not forgetting the warm and friendly welcome we always get from Dawn).

This has been a perfect week to celebrate a special birthday! Thank you for the chocolates –
it was very kind of you and we have enjoyed them each evening. I have always wanted to stay in
York and this was made easy by the ‘creature comforts’ of your flat. Many thanks again and
special thanks to Dawn – she made our arrival so easy.

Lovely apartment in fantastic location. Spotlessly clean and great personal touches,
impressed by the way you read comments and deal with suggestions, most don’t. We have
taken brochures to take to friends and will certainly be back.

We've never been to York before, but do so hope it won't be our last
visit. The flat is everything and more - warm, cosy and so good not
to need the car. So glad we saw Mallard and Tornado before they went
on their 'holiday'. The drive over the moors was incredible - so
wild and beautiful, visited Whitby and Scarborough. But we hope to
come back and stay in this lovely flat and York. P.S. Thanks Dawn
for the welcome!! The tea, cake and milk so very welcome. We'll
recommend the flat to all family and friends.

Have really enjoyed our week in York - plenty to do and see - weather has been great (an added bonus). But, having stayed in
other apartments in York - this has been the best yet from the welcome tea, cake etc to all the small touches - you’ve thought of everything
and we have felt it a real "home from home". The garden is such a beautiful, quiet space - will certainly be back!

Dear John and Christine! We have loved staying in your cozy flat in your beloved York. The last four days have been very special in so many ways - the simple pleasures of M&S's lamb shanks, Barry's incredible garden right outside our window and all of York to explore. Thanks for helping to make our 38th Anniversary so special. On top of that, the weather has been spectacular and we've enjoyed following the filming of "Robinson Crusoe" - first in Whitby, now here in York.

A great holiday despite the rain. Very convenient location for sightseeing and walking around York. Found the flat very comfortable and convenient - pity the weather didn't allow us to use the beautiful garden.

Once again thoroughly enjoyed our week in York. Weather hasn't been great but this hasn't hindered us - although we've had to drag ourselves away from No.8 in the morning and such a sanctuary to come back at night to rest our weary legs (and sore feet !!!). Fabulous sound from your new Bose CD player. We just love No.8 and can't wait to return - (Dawn has been really helpful as usual).
