It is conveniently situated within easy walking distance of the city centre and five minutes' stroll from the Minster.

At no extra cost we provide secure parking and use of the delightful private gardens.

The apartment, 8 Cloisters Walk, is situated in an award-winning development by the city wall and only five minutes' stroll from the Minster.

York's many places of interest are all within easy walking distance, as are shops, restaurants and inns. There is a large Sainsbury's supermarket just one minute away.

The apartment is on the ground floor and sleeps two adults. It would be suitable for people who find stairs difficult. Private secure parking is included.

We regret that the apartment is unsuitable for children. Non-smokers only and no pets.

Living room Living room

The living/dining room has comfortable leather seating, an LCD TV, DVD player, selection of films and a Bose Wave music system for CDs and radio. The Bose system gives superb sound, so bring your favourite CDs. There are also paperbacks, boardgames and a mobile phone.

Dining area Kitchen

On your arrival, the table is set for afternoon tea, with Yorkshire Tea Loaf, or seasonal alternative, and fresh flowers.

The fully equipped kitchen was completely refitted in February 2009. There is an electric oven, ceramic hob, extractor, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge with small freezer. Useful items such as a variety of teas, ground coffee, dried herbs, and condiments are provided.

Bedroom Bedroom

The bedroom is well furnished with a luxurious king-size bed and hand-painted wall- mounted headboard. There is plenty of storage space and all bedding and linen are supplied, also a hairdryer.

Bathroom Garden

The fully tiled bathroom has a washbasin, WC, shaver point and a large walk-in shower in a curved-glass enclosure. Towels and toiletries are provided.

The garden is available exclusively for residents and guests. It is a quiet and secluded area and all guests are welcome to enjoy the garden and use the outdoor furniture. The picture of the garden was taken from the living room and shows roses and fuchsia still blooming in November.

Why is Cloisters Walk special?

This private apartment is used by the owners for their frequent stays in York. As a second home, it has a welcoming feel and is cosy all the year round with every possible comfort.

While conveniently close to the City Wall, the apartment is in a quiet pedestrian area. It is the ideal place to relax after spending the day exploring the City of York or the surrounding areas of Yorkshire.

It is our mission to make you feel welcome and to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You will discover why guests regard it as their "home from home", many of whom return time and time again.

Have really enjoyed our week in York - plenty to do and see - weather has been great (an added bonus). But, having stayed in other apartments in York - this has been the best yet from the welcome tea, cake etc to all the small touches - you’ve thought of everything and we have felt it a real "home from home". The garden is such a beautiful, quiet space - will certainly be back!

Have enjoyed our few days in York and found the apartment very convenient. Being able to park and leave the car is an added bonus.
